๐โจ Blood Moons, Prophecy & New Age Deceptions โจ๐
Whenever a blood moon appears, New Agers rush to assign spiritual meaning to it. Some call the full moon a time to โrelease negativityโ and the new moon a time to โmanifest dreams.โ Sadly, even some Christians get caught up in the hypeโclaiming that every eclipse is a prophetic sign.
But what does the Bible say?
๐ Genesis 1:14 โ โAnd God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.โ
๐ The moon was created to mark timeโnot to be worshiped.
๐ 2 Kings 17:16 โ โAnd they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten imagesโฆ and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.โ
๐ Israel fell into judgment because they bowed down to created lights.
๐ Deuteronomy 4:19 โ โAnd beware lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve themโฆโ
๐ God warned His people not to turn from the Creator to the creature.
๐ Joel 2:31 โ โThe sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.โ
๐ This is not describing regular eclipses we see often, but cataclysmic signs during the Day of the Lordโs judgment.
๐ Jeremiah 10:2 โ โThus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.โ
๐ Godโs people are not to fear or idolize heavenly signs.
A blood moon is simply a natural lunar eclipse. Itโs not mystical. Itโs not a prophetic fulfillment. To claim otherwise lowers the seriousness of Godโs true judgment to the level of routine astronomy.
Instead of looking to the moon for guidance or power, let us look to Jesus Christโthe true Light of the world.
๐ John 8:12 โ โThen spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.โ
๐ Psalm 121:2 โ โMy help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.โ
๐ Psalm 19:1 โ โThe heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.โ
๐ The heavens donโt exist for us to worship themโthey exist to point us back to the One who made them.
