ACS Business Analyst assessment requirements:

Unless you are saved in some limited circumstances, you are required to win a positive ACS skill assessment to apply for some visas.

The authority that will evaluate your eligibility as an ICT Business Analyst is the Australian Computer Society (ACS). For a positive assessment, fulfill the below-given criteria:

Qualifications that are equivalent to AQF Bachelor Degree or above with an ICT Major

In case of having completed a course with an ICT Major closely related to the occupation of ICT Business Analyst, meet the following criteria:

2-year relevant work experience that is completed within the last 10 years, or

4-year related work experience that is completed anytime in your previous work history

If you have completed a course with an ICT Major not closely relevant to the occupation of ICT Business Analyst, meet the following requirements:

4-year work experience that you completed anytime in your previous work history

The qualification that is equivalent to AQF Bachelor Degree or higher with an ICT Minor

If having completed a course with an ICT Minor closely related to the occupation of ICT Business Analyst, satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

5-year related work experience that you completed in the last 10 years, or

6-year related work experience that you completed anytime in your previous work history

If having completed a course with an ICT Minor not closely related to the occupation of ICT Business Analyst, satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

6-year related work experience that you completed anytime in your previous work history

The qualification that is equivalent to AQF Diploma or Vendor Certification

If you have completed a course with an ICT Major closely related to the occupation of ICT Business Analyst, meet the following criteria:

5-year related work experience that you completed within the past 10 years, or

6-year related work experience that you completed anytime in your previous work history

If having completed a course with an ICT Major not closely relevant to the occupation of ICT Business Analyst, meet the below-given criteria:

6-year related work experience that you completed anytime in your previous work history

Australian Computer Society, the assessment authority recognizes prior learning (RPL).

If having a non-ICT qualification that is equivalent to AQF Diploma or above, satisfy the following criteria for a positive ACS Business Analyst assessment:

6-year relevant work experience that you completed anytime in your previous work history, and

Recognition of Prior Learning application

If you don’t have any tertiary qualification, but you have work experience only, fulfill the following criteria for a positive ACS skill evaluation:

8-year related work experience, and

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL application)

To be kept in mind: a prior learning application needs you to show the way you earned your IT knowledge. For that, you must submit two project reports with your RPL application.

The below-given Vendor Certifications are acceptable as they are equivalent to AQF Diploma level qualification:

Cisco Certifications

Microsoft Certifications

Australian qualifications that have attained recognition from ACS will most likely satisfy the ICT Major Criteria. However, it may not necessarily be evaluated as being related to your chosen occupation. That’s why it is important to make sure that you choose the correct occupation to win a positive ACS Business Analyst assessment.

The authority will only count employment whose completion is after the date you have satisfied the ACS Suitability Criteria as Skilled Employment. It means ACS will not consider pre-qualification employment experience.
