This is one of the UK visas that enable foreign workers to enter the UK for work in various Skilled Worker and work-related visa categories. A sponsorship license by the Home Office has to be obtained before a business can become a sponsor to any employee. Sponsoring ensures that these non-residents of the UK are appropriate and have necessary skills and qualifications. Once the license is granted, the employer can then issue a CoS to the employee, whom he or she will have to apply for her or his visa.
