齊崇硯 from Taiwan and graduated from the Department of History at National Taiwan University in 2013, and completed my master’s degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016. I am currently studying for my PhD in the University of Tokyo. The theme of my doctoral thesis is “the idea and practice of the rule of Taiwan from the viewpoint of the Kokutai theory: the constitutional discourse and the security laws of Taiwan from the interwar period to the war period”. The aim of this research is to clarify the modern Japan-Taiwan relationship through political thought and legal history.
