What is ALMM?
The Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) specifies approved solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for use in various solar projects in India. Only listed models can be used for government and assisted projects, ensuring quality and reliability. Manufacturers must obtain certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for enlistment, which is valid for two years, but currently, no foreign manufacturers are included.
