Powder coating is a highly durable finishing process that involves applying tiny dry particles to an item or part. Also known as dry painting, the powder coating process is clean and efficient and relies on the attraction of charged particles to create an electrostatic bond. After the pigmented powder is applied, items are placed in a curing oven to bake. The baking process allows the powder to melt and encase the items in a plastic coating.
