Does Delta give Complimentary Upgrades on International Flights?
Delta Airlines provides complimentary upgrades to Medallion Members on domestic routes, including flights to Hawaii and within the 50 U.S. states. Unfortunately, complimentary upgrades are not offered for international routes. The Delta Airlines International flight upgrade policy requires eligible members to use Global or Regional Upgrade Certificates. These certificates are granted as part of Choice Benefits for Platinum and Diamond Medallion Members. Certificates can be applied to both international and domestic flights, provided seats are available. Remember, Basic Economy fares are excluded from upgrades, regardless of status.
