The ninth significant update to Geometry Dash was version 1.9. On November 9, 2014, it was made public. It brought two new levels, Theory of Everything 2 and Blast Processing, a user account system, four new colors, four cubes, two ships, two balls, two UFOs, and a new shape, the wave. Users may also choose custom tunes from Newgrounds for their levels. It also made the first nine levels (aside from Stereo Madness) easier to beat.

The level editor now has group capabilities.
