The American Heart Association has developed a nationwide network of Training Centers to expand access to Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) education and strengthen every link in the Chain of Survival. Through this initiative, more individuals are empowered to perform high-quality CPR, use automated external defibrillators, and integrate Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) into emergency response efforts—ultimately saving more lives. The Spencer Hospital Training Center (SHTC) was established with the same mission: to promote excellence in ECC programming and improve survival outcomes throughout Northwest Iowa and beyond.

By partnering with the Spencer Hospital Training Center, instructors gain access to competitive pricing and fast turnaround times for AHA course completion cards, along with easy-to-use paperwork and administrative support. The center ensures that instructors receive consistent communication regarding updates to policies, procedures, and course content while also providing guidance on maintaining the highest standards of quality. In addition, SHTC offers mentoring, monitoring, and regular instructor updates, as well as new instructor training programs. Dedicated to being a complete resource for all ECC education needs, the Spencer Hospital Training Center strives to support instructors and communities in building stronger, more effective lifesaving networks.
