The skill involves excavation and the restoration of artifacts on five new dig locations and features new powerful player effects that are objects of the past. We will shows the quickest and most efficient methods for achieving level 99 Archaeology.

A lot of players of RuneScape will be delighted with the announcement that a new skill is scheduled to be added to the game. What was thought to be one of the most secretive secrets in players, a new skill was revealed to be expected to arrive in early 2020. The new skill will be called RuneScape Archaeology, and it will offer a range of new possibilities for players.

There are five dig sites, and each of the dig sites is home to excavation hotspots, research, mysteries, rewards, and artifacts that are unique to that particular dig site. They vary in difficulty from the point where of a dig site to level 118/119. For example, Kharid-et, situated in the Al-Kharid desert which is the primary dig location, has been unlocked at level 5. The first plot is the Venator is still at level 5, and the highest excavation plot would be War table at level 118. So, you'll be hopping around the 5 dig sites through your leveling of Archaeology.

Useful Items

Let's discuss some important items to help optimize those gains.

Waterfiend Families

Waterfiend Familiar is available right on the Grand Exchange. They are fairly cheap at the moment at about 120K RS3 gold per pouch. The waterfiend has a 5% chance to double the gain from material and artifacts gain. If you're not able to buy the item, then you could start making them at the level 68 archaeology.

Auto-screener v1.080

Auto-screener will be disabled at the level 70 Archaeology after you complete the associated Qualifications. This is a fantastic idea to own as it will automatically screen the soil that you find while digging. It operates on divine charges and won't degrade.

Mattock Upgrades

You'll also need Mattock upgrades every 10 levels as you advance into level 99. Mattock of Time and Space at level 99. This is the one you'll require two dragon mattocks. So, that can be a bit expensive if you are not doing the Big Game Hunter and getting these yourself. You can also smith the varieties that are smithable at levels 60 70, 70 and 80 and 90, but they cannot be augmented. Make sure you're buying the precise upgrades from the Archaeology guild when you unlock these with the help of qualification.

You'll be back in the Everlight to collect the Stadio Debris. You'll be there until you reach level 65.

Between Levels 65-68 Infernal Art (Infernal Quelle)

Head back to the Infernal Source and look for the Infernal Art plot, which is located inside the portal which we had opened earlier. just get to three on the lift at the entry point of Infernal Source.

You'll find yourself near your Shakroth remains, which lies east of the last piece of land at The Infernal Source.

Levels 70-69: Dominion Games Podium (Everlight)

Go back to Everlight and begin digging at The Dominion Games Podium until level 70. By this time, you should have found and repaired 250 artifacts. Don't fret if you didn't it's easy to go back to the Venator Remains- the 5th level spot in Kharid-et - and dig as many times as you want to hit this mark.

Associate Qualification

In addition, you should have conducted 24 hours of research that sending your researchers off on mission. It is recommended that you have completed 10 mysteries and completed 5 logs. After completing all of these will grant you an Associate Qualification, which will allow you to access the Archaeology outfit, Autoscreener and the various bonuses at Ezreal in an Archaeology Guild.

Levels 70-72: Ikovian Memorial (Stormguard)

At level 70, you unlock Stormguard Citadel. Also, from the level 70 until 72 you'll be at the Ikovian Memorial at Stormguard. The plot is situated around the portal. You need an extra Ikovian gerege and put it in your toolbelt and you will be able to access Stormguard. Inside, search through the portal and look for the pair of Boots of Flight. When you locate the boots, put them in your tool belt and these will be necessary to traverse farther into Stormguard.

Go back to Everlight to dig up the Oikos Studio Debris.

76 until all artifacts: Keshik Ger Remains (Stormguard)

At level 76, it is possible to been granted access to Warforge. However, before heading there you have to return to Stormguard Citadel to the Keshik Ger Remains. Inside the building, towards the northeast of these remains, you'll see the Wingsuit. Take it up and put that in your tool belt, too because you'll require it in order to move around within Stormguard. Once you've got the necessary artifacts from Keshik Ger for your collection logs, it's time to head to Warforge.

Levels 76-81 Gladiatorial Goblin Remains (Warforge)

You will dig through The Gladiatorial Goblin Remains till level 81 . You will then pray to RNGesus that you receive all four Imcando metal pieces and a key in this period.

Levels 81-83: Pontifex Remains (Kharid-et)

At the level 8 point, you have two options. You can boost the level with soil tea, which is a cup of tea with five different soils included. It grants you a visible +2 boost, giving you 83 levels and an ability to uncover the barriers in Warforge for entry into the rest of Warforge.

It's important to note this as once inside, you are able to find another 10 keys that will create an Imcando mattock. You can also hit three different areas to collect logs, which are 81, and I personally would do this. I would be at the Warforge at The Crucible Stands Debris for the artifacts needed then head towards Stormguard and the Tailory Debris to find artifacts needed for the collection log. Then, end with the Pontifex Remains which you'll need your signet ring for. All three of these locations are at the level of 81. The reason I would do this is because of the cost of items needed to repair artifacts. Also, camping at Kharid-et dig site is more beneficial since you get batteries, which means you earn extra XP. And also, with the Pylons in operation, you'll earn extra XP from that.

Levels 83-84: Goblin Dorm Remains (Warforge)

No matter which way you choose, at level 83, you'll find yourself at Warforge again for Goblin Dorm Remains until you attain the level of 84.

At level 84, you'll go to Everlight and the Oikos fishing Hut Remnants are available for 1 level.

You go back in Stormguard Citadel and begin digging the Weapons Research debris. When digging through the piles you may come across journal pages for A Study in Aether mystery. When you've got all five pages, speak Gee'ka, who is the author of the mystery.

Levels 86-89: Orcus Altar (Kharid-et)

Return to Kharid-et and begin digging and excavating the Orcus Altar. You'll require your Pontifex signet ring once again to enter. Make sure you keep an additional scroll of spells you discover there, since it's required to solve The Vault of Shadows mystery.

Levels 85-91 Big High War God Shrine (Warforge)

At the level of 89, you're headed towards the infernal Source first , and then excavate Dis the overspill stacks, until you finish your collection. When you've finished your collection You head to Warforge to excavate piles of the Big High War God Shrine piles. When you are digging through the piles, you could stumble upon the journal entry for Forge War! mystery. Talk to Zanik after you've recovered that to finish the mystery.

Professor Qualifying

At this point, you'll be at 90 and you've discovered and restored 500 artifacts, solved 15 mystery puzzles twenty collection logs and have spent 72 hours conducting research with your researchers. When you've completed all of that you'll gain the Professor Qualification.

Levels 91-92: Gravitron Research (Stormguard)

At level 91, return to Stormguard Citadel and excavate the Gravitron Research debris. It is highly recommended to finish getting the pages for the Spy Who Loved Metal mystery so that you can finish Stormguard mysteries before level 95.

Levels 92-93: Acropolis Destruction (Everlight)

Return to Everlight and begin digging your way through the Acropolis Debris. While digging through the piles you'll likely come across journals for The Epic of Hebe mystery. Gather all five pages and talk to Vanescula in order to solve the mystery.

Levels 93-94: Armarium Debris (Kharid-et)

Return to Kharid-et and excavate and remove the Armarium debris.

You go back to Warforge, and excavate The Yu'biusk animal pen heaps.

Levels 95-97 Keshik Tower Debris (Stormguard)

Return to Stormguard once more and make your way towards the Keshik tower debris in the tower of dayguards. Note that you are going require a new flight suit before you reach the tower otherwise you'll be struck with an electric shock on the journey. From level 95 up to 97, you'll need to be sitting at level 97, which is the Keshik pile of debris from the Keshik tower.

Levels 97 and 98: Goblin The Trainee is Still (Warforge)

You'll be back in Warforge and begin excavating The Goblin Trainee Remains, and you'll be doing this for 1 level.

Levels 98 and 99: Byzroth Remains (Infernal Source)

Return to Stormguard Citadel or the Infernal Source. When you've completed one of your collections, switch to the other one. It is suggested to complete the Infernal Source first to ensure that you are able to spend more time in Stormguard to build many more pages of blueprint.

If you don't have plenty of RuneScape gold to play the skill, I suggest beginning at level 93 and camping in the Armarium Debris in Kharid-et. It's a low cost material and the amount of batteries you get really add up. For instance I had 900 battery, which equated to about 380,000 XP in storage, which sufficed to get me towards level 99. As you progress, at level 94, 95, at levels 97 and 98, return to those other dig sites for collections . However, return to Kharid-et after you have completed the collection and continue to work there. The XP cost difference between repairing and repairing is not significant and much cheaper at Kharid-et.

Guildmaster Certification

Then, you've excavated and restored 1,000 artifacts. You've also solved 20 mystery, 25 collections along with having 168 hours study completed. When you've completed your quest, you'll gain access to your Guildmaster Qualification that will give access to an elite Archaeology outfit with unlimited teleports as well as the necessary item to open your Mattock of Time and Space and a precision upgrade for your mattock.
