What are the Eligibility Criteria?

Any individual who is interested in completing the PSARA registration is required to satisfy a number of eligibility requirements in order to do so.

For business organizations:

A company that wishes to register under the PSARA License act must, in accordance with the Private Security Agencies Act, 2005, register itself as one of the following in order to be eligible for the license:

  • Limited Liability Partnership
  • Private Limited Company
  • Sole Proprietorship
  • Partnership Firm
  • One Person Company

For Principal office/Director:

There are certain requirements that must be met before an individual can be considered qualified for the position of Director or Principal Officer. To qualify for the same, one must first meet a number of predetermined requirements, which are as follows:

  • Required to hold Indian nationality
  • Must be at least 18 years old to participate in this activity
  • Must not have any previous convictions on his record in any capacity
  • Must be in possession of sufficient financial resources to be able to support the operating costs of the business

For the role of security guard:

If you meet all of the following requirements, it is possible that you could land the role of a security guard:

  • Citizenship in India is a precondition
  • Individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 65 to be considered
  • You are required to have prior training under your belt
  • Should not be fired from any capacity within the government under any circumstances
  • Must be able to fulfill all of the required physical characteristics
  • It is necessary to present evidence that attests to the individual's moral standing

List of Documents Required for Obtaining the PSARA License

  1. Copy of the company's certificate of incorporation
  2. Documentation verifying the identities of all Directors and employees
  3. ID proofs are signed by the security guard, which includes the MOA (Memorandum of Understanding).
  4. Documentation proving the address of the Registered Office
  5. Private security firm logo
  6. affidavit that was obtained in accordance with PSARA
  7. Details of the promoters' Permanent Account Numbers
  8. Affidavit of the completion of the required training
  9. Documents pertaining to the PF (Provident Fund)
  10. Registration completed with ESI (Employees States Insurance)
  11. Two portraits of the promoters are included
  12. A character certificate is provided for each and every employee
  13. A copy of each director's income tax return, also known as an ITR

Validity of PSARA License

In most cases, a PSARA license is good for a period of up to five years. A PSARA license is good for a single year in the states of Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.

Renewal of the PSARA License

Renewing a PSARA license requires submitting an application to the relevant authority at least 45 days prior to the permit's expiration, along with the required documentation and payment. In addition, the regulatory body will issue a renewal order for the license within 30 days of application receipt.
