📖 Based on Genesis 21–27
A long time ago, there was a man named Abraham and his wife Sarah. They loved God deeply, but they were very sad — because they didn’t have a child. They were already old, and it seemed impossible to become parents. 😔
But God had made Abraham a promise — that his family would grow into a great nation, as countless as the stars in the sky. ✨
👶 The Miracle Baby: Isaac
One day, God told Abraham that Sarah would have a baby. Sarah laughed! “Me? Have a baby at this age?” 😂
But God kept His promise. Just as He said, Sarah gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Isaac, which means “laughter.”
Abraham and Sarah were overjoyed! 💖 Their home was filled with joy, baby giggles, and grateful prayers. God had done the impossible! 🌟
Isaac grew up learning about God, kindness, and the importance of trusting His promises. Abraham taught him to always walk in faith, even when things seemed impossible.
💍 Isaac’s Family Grows
When Isaac became a man, he married a kind woman named Rebekah. They loved each other dearly, but for many years, they couldn’t have children either — just like Abraham and Sarah.
So Isaac prayed and prayed. 🙏And guess what? God answered!
Rebekah became pregnant with twins — but the babies inside her kicked and moved so much that she asked God why.
God said, “You have two nations inside you. The older will serve the younger.” 👶👶
When the twins were born, the first baby came out red and hairy — they named him Esau. The second baby came out holding his brother’s heel — they named him Jacob, which means “heel catcher” or “one who follows.” 🦶😄
🍲 Jacob’s Clever Trick
As the twins grew up, Esau loved to hunt, while Jacob liked to stay close to home. One day, Esau came back hungry from hunting, and Jacob was cooking delicious stew. 😋
Esau begged, “Please give me some!”Jacob replied, “Only if you sell me your birthright — your blessing as the firstborn.”
Esau was so hungry that he said, “Fine, take it!” and traded his special blessing for a bowl of soup! 🍛
It was a silly trade — but it showed how Jacob wanted God’s blessing, and Esau didn’t value it much.
🌌 Jacob’s Dream of Angels
Later, Jacob had to leave home. One night, while sleeping under the stars, he used a rock as a pillow. 😴🌠
He dreamed of a huge ladder reaching up to heaven, and angels were going up and down on it. 🌈👼
At the top stood God, saying,
“I am with you, Jacob. I will bless you and your family. Through you, all nations will be blessed.”
When Jacob woke up, he was amazed. He said,
“Surely God is in this place!”
He built a small altar and named the place Bethel, meaning “House of God.” 🕊️
