The IFS function in Excel allows you to test multiple conditions at once and return a value corresponding to the first TRUE condition. Unlike nested IF statements, IFS makes your formulas cleaner and easier to read. Each condition is evaluated in order, and as soon as a condition is met, Excel returns the corresponding result. If none of the conditions are TRUE, you can optionally specify a default value.
