How to Survive All-Nighters Without Burning Out
All-nighters are almost a college initiation, but they don't need to turn you into a zombie. Start by fueling your body with healthy snack foods like nuts, fruit, and plenty of water—avoid energy drinks with sugar. Take a stretch and give your brain a rest every hour or so. Use the Pomodoro Technique: work 25 minutes, and then take a 5-minute break. If at all possible, try sneaking in a 20-minute power nap to refresh yourself. After the all-nighter, treat yourself to some relaxation and do not overload your following day with heavies. Remember, all-nighters should be exceptions rather than the norm!
