On June 1, 2024, 16-year-old Muqadas Bibi was abducted by a Muslim man named Kashif Ashraf. Arif Maish father of Muqadas filed a complaint with the local police,despite the severe nature of the allegations, Kashif obtained bail from the High Court of Lahore and denied any involvement in the abduction. The case of Muqadas Bibi is a clear example of an issue faced by Christian families in Pakistan.
