If you've never had a root canal, you could feel anxious or afraid of the process. Many people have the false impression that endodontic procedures, such root canals, are painful and/or unhealthy and should be avoided at all costs. It's the complete opposite that matters. It is easy to avoid the discomfort, expense, and anguish associated with forgoing endodontic treatment in favor of tooth extraction or a wait-and-see strategy.
